"This simple to follow CloSYS regime is guaranteed to eradicate halitosis and maintain clean fresh breath"

CloSYS regimen - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Follow this procedure each day at least once - morning is best, so set some time aside to complete the treatment correctly.

1) Brush teeth thoroughly with CloSYS toothpaste. Concentrate on brushing the margins of the gums, where the teeth and gums meet. Bacteria accumulate in the “gutters” around the teeth.

2) Then clean between your teeth using an interdental brush. You will often taste a “rotten” flavour. Smelling the brush after use will make you appreciate the need to use an interdental brush as this is quite often what other people smell when your breath is stale. Then dip the interdental brush in a little CloSYS mouth rinse or smear with a little CloSYS toothpaste and repeat the treatment.

Note on Interdental Brushes: You might not think you can get anything between your teeth but you will be surprised, especially at the back. Use the largest size possible, without causing discomfort. Most people find a combination of two or three sizes is sufficient to cover the whole mouth. Interdental brushes are re-useable, and are available through your family dentist or pharmacy.

3) Now floss between the teeth. This also removes bacteria and food debris and allows oxygen to get below the gum to destroy Volatile Sulphur Compounds as these are what is giving you the “bad breath”. Be gentle.

4) Using the tongue scraper, scrape the tongue as follows: Hold the tongue with something made of cotton (gauze, flannel, towel etc.). Do not use paper as it will disintegrate. Hold the tongue out and steady. Place the tongue scraper as far back as possible and scrape forwards firmly, holding the tongue all the time. You may gag initially, but this gag reflex subsides quickly. Repeat the scraping until you have covered the whole surface of the tongue, especially towards the back. This is a major source of halitosis / “bad breath”.

5) Shake the bottle of CloSYS and pour out one capful. (This is all you need). Rinse thoroughly for one whole minute (time yourself). Swish vigorously and ensure you bathe the back of the tongue. Depending on the severity of your problem, you may need to swish again around late afternoon, however most people get through the whole day if they follow the regime diligently in the morning. You may also find that it’s more convenient to carry the oral spray with you during the day. (A travel/introductory pack is also available which includes the oral spray, a small 100ml bottle of CloSYS rinse and a small 21g toothpaste. These are a handy size for keeping in your briefcase, handbag or car.)

Note: CloSYS mouthwash is flavourless. The vial of peppermint oil, which is enclosed, is for those people who like to add flavour. However, it does not need to be added to the mouthwash for it to work any more efficiently and it can “cloud” your taste.

Closys Oral Health products are scientifically formulated to kill 99.9% of germs that cause bad breath, dissolve unwanted compounds, and reduce harmful bacteria in your mouth for a noticeably cleaner and fresher mouth. Volatile Sulfur Compounds (VSCs) on the back of the tongue are the primary agents of mouth odor. The CloSYS Complete Oral Health System® uses patented Cloralstan ™ technology to eliminate VSCs and other odor-causing germs for hours and prevents re-growth.

Without doubt the most important aspect of halitosis control. The back of the tongue is a major source of bacterial build-up and removal of this debris should be a priority, not just for sufferers of halitosis but for everyone. Getting rid of as much of the cause of the problem is more important than 'treating' what is left behind. Tongue cleaning is everyone's least favourite part of the regime, but it's also the most important.
